Building Information Modelling (BIM) Services

Working on construction projects at BIM Level 2, NOSA is able to participate as part of the fully integrated project team in a shared collaboration environment, as defined in ISO 19650. We believe that the best method for the successful delivery of an efficient and economical design is to work in a collaborative Building Information Modelling (BIM environment).

Using BIM methodology to evaluate the brief, avoid clashes, and coordinate all disciplines, offers cost savings, not only reducing the costs of change, but improving the management of construction. Successful BIM implementation can lead to efficiencies during the whole building life cycle from initial planning, design, construction to operation. The potential savings result from the use of enabling technology, producing shared structured information which can be more effectively captured, reused, controlled and validated.

A BIM model offers a data-rich asset that holds information from concept, through the construction phase and to the end user Facilities Management team. By working in a collaborative environment across all disciplines, potential construction issues are highlighted at an early stage of design, further reducing the possibility of errors on site. Ultimately, this will bring both time and cost savings.

Health and Safety Services

NOSA provides an independent Health and Safety advisory service to assist clients with the implementation of a positive Health and Safety culture and fulfilment of duties placed on them by the Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.

Our services are designed to raise standards, increase efficiency, and improve overall competence within the property and construction industry. We can offer a number of site-based, or office/company Health and Safety services, including:

  • CDM Consultancy
  • Site Safety Inspections
  • Health and Safety Handover Files/Building Manuals
  • Health and Safety Policy documentation (construction; office; management)
  • Health and safety advice and support
  • Contractor Health and Safety services
  • Inductions and Toolbox Talks
